Alfred WONG (b.1979)

黃學揚於二○○一年畢業於香港中文大學音樂系，二○○二年獲頒作曲碩士，師隨陳永華教授。在學期間隨鄭慧博士學習鋼琴及龍向榮博士學習敲擊，並曾兩度獲香港作曲家及作詞家獎學金。

黃氏作品廣受歡迎，部分作品於英國、俄羅斯、紐西蘭、澳洲、上海、台灣、新加坡及馬來西亞等地演出。他的作品《迴》曾入選新加坡華樂團國際作曲大賽2006決賽。黃氏編寫近百首樂曲，其中常為香港中樂團編曲。最近亦受上海萬方青年交響樂團、香港兒童合唱團、香港新青年管樂團及香港電台第四台等委約編曲。

此外，他經常擔任指揮工作，與不同的藝團合作，包括竹韻小集、樂樂國樂團、亞莉提亞管樂團、香港大專生樂團等。他現於香港教育學院副學士課程教授中西樂配器、基礎作曲、視唱練耳等科目。現為香港作曲家及作詞家協會會員、香港作曲家聯會會員及香港女青中樂團駐團藝術家兼指揮。

Alfred Wong received his bachelor and master degree in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, studying composition under Prof. Chan Wing-wah. His music have been performed worldwide such as England, Australia, Russia, Shanghai, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore. His work Echoes was shortlisted for the finals of the International Competition for Chinese Orchestral Composition 2006 organized by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra.

Wong is an active arranger with around a hundred arrangements, and he often arranges music for the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. Recent arrangements include the commissions by Shanghai Wan Fang Youth Orchestra, Hong Kong Children’s Choir, Hong Kong Youth Neowinds Orchestra, and RTHK Radio 4.

As a conductor, he has been collaborated with different music groups such as Windpipe ensemble, Yao Yueh Chinese Orchestra, Alethia Wind Ensemble and Tertiary Students' Ensemble. He is currently teaching western & Chinese orchestration, fundamental composition and aural training courses for the associate degree of the HKIEd. He is now a member of CASH and Hong Kong composers’ Guild, as well as the artist in residence and conductor of Hong Kong YWCA Chinese Orchestra.
